Borders of Provinces of Pakistan

Since inception of Pakistan, Bureaucrats, politicians and army personnel got many chances to rule but no one dare to even change the British system we got after the partition of South Asia. The major reason behind it is the feudal system followers who didn't want their properties to be distributed among the masses whom were gifted by the Britoners. To be honest, our current reap of politicians hail from the same, which I think should be removed from mainstream politics of Pakistan, as wobble for democracy but once again sorry to say they are void of any democratic criteria. Many countries around Pakistan didn't commit such mistakes.

When I say none of our politicians know anything about democracy, I mean it, because what retaliated the people in Present Bangladesh against Pakistan was the reason that the politicians in Western Pakistan made Eastern Pakistan a single Unit and the Whole Bunch of Western Pakistan with its four provinces, agencies and smaller divisions, as another unit. Why go so far, India divided it Eastern Punjab (which mind you, is smaller than Western Punjab, which is in Pakistan) into 3 smaller provinces, couldn't we done the same to keep the unity?

Why I am saying all this?
In order to have a stable democratic structure and making them a vital part in administrative structure of the country, giving them priority in other aspects like justice, and certain other societal advantages, require number of provinces to be present, as now the population of Pakistan not that small like it was at the time of partition, since partition the population of Pakistan increased gradually. For this purpose smaller provinces are the need of time as the bigger the provinces, the bigger are the inequality roars among the provincial level. For goodness sakes, controlling a country of approximate 18 Crores, with four Provincial Capitals and one Federal Capital doesn't look a normal thing, and this has been the major hurdle in handling the admin aspects of the provinces and country since 64 years. Look for yourself, one dominent province is so much that they are creating provincial level rationalism, wherever we go whether its North East Punjab, South Punjab, North West Punjab, and not to forget Rural and Urban Sindhi areas, where some trouble makers have been on the basis of these factors, creating instability.

At the time of partition!
Pakistan consists of 4 provinces, including Punjab including its biggest independent district Bahawalpur, Sindh province including independent district Khairpur, North West Frontier Province (current Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa province) and also including Swat, Chitral, Dir, and last but not the least Balochistan province which includes Qalat (which had adjourning areas like Makran, Lasbela and Kharan in its outskirts), plus Federally Administrated Tribal Areas also known as FATA includes Gilgit, Baltistan, North and South Waziristan and Dir Agencies are part of it.
We wobble that we posses four provinces but the reality and matter of fact is that all the districts and FATA areas possessed individual identities and flags as well, which makes almost 18 different units altogether, and in 1955 Pakistan administration made a mess of it by by diminishing all these units/identities and making them all as one unit only.

In comparison!
India Bangladesh
At the time of partition of South Asia, India got 8 provinces, sorry to say but Bangladesh also showed its presence of mind
due to presence of political intelligence and know-how, they multiplied those and multiplied its 5 provinces into 23.
8 provinces into 46 provinces by the time I'm writing this, No doubt they've full control of their
including 3 provinces off Indian Punjab namely Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, provinces. Although small cases of insurgencies
and Haryana. are going on over there as well.
At the time of Englishmen!
Englishmen also gone for amalgamation and re-demarcation of boundaries from time to time in their regime, until 1936 Bombay and Sindh were under the same presidency, but due to pressure from Quaid-e-Azam and his party, they annulled Sindh and Bombay. Similarly Punjab used to be single unit that time but they also divided it into two, and later India further divided its part of Punjab into further 3.

In the neighbourhood
Our neighbouring countries do possess dozen of provinces themselves, taking example of Iran and Afghanistan, they respectively have 26 and 32 provinces themselves. Our provinces are so big in size that Balochistan which is twice the size of countries like, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, UK, Syria and several Middle Eastern Countries. Similarly Sindh is twice the size of countries like Sweden and Libya, and 1.5 times the population of Afghanistan, Syria, Sri Lanka, and Australia. These above mentioned countries are having more than a dozen provinces in them

Why Smaller Provinces?
Smaller provinces allows fast and swift mobilization of services and facilities in the province. Just imagine the vast area of Sindh doesn't give that privilege, try Google Earth and calculate the distance between Larkana and Karachi and than imagine how goods, services, justice and certain other facilities can be controlled from that much North from South in Karachi? One city located with the beach at South and another at the extreme North at the border of Sindh and Pakistani Punjab!!!

Its not a joke or something I feel its matter of concern, when the present government says its the Sign of Federation so work on Strengthening the Federation, instead of wasting papers for paperwork.
