کرونا وائرس اور پاکستانی میڈیا

پاکستانی میڈیا کے لیے شاید یہ بہت فخر کا مقام ہے کہ panic پھیلا کر بہت مزا آتا ہے ان لوگوں کو۔ یہ بات ضرور کہوں گا کہ CoronaVirus یا COVID-19, جو بھی اس بلا کو کہیں، یہ ایک اٹل حقیقت ہے اور اسکو ماننے کے علاوہ اور کوئی حل نہیں، مگر ایک چیز کو ماننا اور ایک چیز کو تھوپنا، ایک بات نہیں، instead ہمارا دو نمبر بکواس میڈیا ہماری پوری society کو panic میں اور اس کے ساتھ ساتھ psycho بنا رہیں ہیں۔ 

ابھی تو کچھ نہیں ہوگا مگر

مستقبل قریب میں ہم اپنے آنے والی جینیریشن کو پاگل بنا رہے ہیں اور ایسے جن کے mindset اس طرح سے clear نہیں ہوتا، جیسا ہمارے دماغ میں ہوتا ہے، ہم میں سے اکثر لوگ کتابیں اور تصانیف پڑھتیں ہیں، جن کی وجہ ہماری سوچ کا زاویہ کھلا ہوتا ہے اور اسکی وجہ سے کافی ٹائیم ہم rational thinking کرسکتے ہیں، مگر sorry to sayجو گندا کام ہمارا good for nothing میڈیا ہاوس کر رہے ہیں، ہماری آنے والی نسلوں کو جس جانب ڈال رہیں ہیں، اس کے ذمہ دار ہم لوگ ہی ہوں گے۔

کتابیں اور تحقیقی مظامین نہ پڑھنے کا نتیجہ

 اس وجہ سے ہم پڑھے لکھے جاہل بن کر رہ گے ہیں، کیونکہ جستجو اور تجسس کو ختم کر کے دوسری چیزوں میں ڈال دیا ہے۔ Instagram اور Bigo Live پر دیکھ لیں ہماری آنے والی جینیریشن کیا کررہی ہے۔ اس پر مزید کچھ لکھنا بیکار ہے۔

کوا چلا ہنس کی چال اپنی چال بھی بھول گیا

کرونا کرونا کرتے کرتے ہم یہ تک بھول گئے ہیں کہ یہ وائیرس exactly کیا ہے، instead سنی سنائی پر کان دھر رہے ہیں اور خود سے دیکھنے سے گریزاں ہیں جس کا نتیجہ ہے کہ ہم کان کے کچے ہورہے ہیں اور اپنی قابلیت اور سمجھ بوجھ پر بھروسہ نہیں، بیشک بہت گندا وائیرس ہے مگر instead اس کے احتیاطی تدابیر کے اوپر تحقیق کرنا اور ایک بلو پرنٹ تشکیل دینے کے بجائے ماسک پہنتے بیٹھے ہیں، hand sanitizers استعمال سکھا رہیں ہیں، مجھے اس سے کوئی مسئلہ نہیں، مگر مجھے مسئلہ اس اقدام سے ہے جہاں ہم اپنے آنے والی نسلوں کو ان چیزوں کا عادی بنا رہیں ہیں جس طرح ہماری ان جینیریشن کو slowly بوتل والا پانی کا عادی بنایا، ہمارے آنے والی نسلوں کو ان sanitizers اور اس کے بعد ماسک کا عادی بنا رہے ہیں۔

ماسک سے یاد آیا

ہمارے لیئے ماسک اتنا اہم نہیں جتنا سرجری کرنے والے سرجنز کو اس کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے اور sorry to say, ہماری قوم نے اپنی خود غرضی میں یہ تک بھول گئے ہیں کہ جو بھی جمع کرنا ہے یہیں چھوڑ کر جانا ہے، مگر اسکی وجہ سے کیوں کسی غریب کی بد دعا لے رہیں ہیں؟ کیوں بھول جارہے ہیں کہ ہم انسان اور اسکے بعد مسلمان ہیں؟ کیوں بھول جارہے ہیں کہ آج ہماری خود غرضی کی وجہ سے کوئی غریب اگر suffer کرتا ہے تو کل ہماری اپنی سگی اولاد بھی suffer کرے گی، کیا وہ ہم برداشت کرپائیں گے بحیثیت ماں اور باپ؟ اگر اپ نہیں بھی ہو تو مستقبل میں بنو گے جب imagine کرو کہ اپکی اولاد کو سرجری کی ضرورت ہے مگر کسی بھی وجہ سے سرجری کے ماسک موجود نہیں ہیں تو ماں یا باپ ہوتے ہوئے کیسے feel ہوگا؟مذہب کی بات کرتیں ہیں، میں کوئی عالم دین نہیں مگر جتنا بھی ناظرہ اور اسلامیات پڑھی ہے، حقوق العباد پر کوئی معافی نہیں ہے بلکہ مذہب میں اتنتا کہا گیا ہے کہ یہ بھی صدقہ جاریہ ہے کہ اپ رستہ میں کوئی درخت لگایں یا رستہ میں کا کنکر ہٹا دیں، پتا نہیں کوئی اس کنکر کو نا دیکھ کر گر جائے، ہمارے مذہب میں تو اتنا emphasis کیا گئا ہے مگر خود اپنے آپ سے پوچھیں، کیا ہم اپنے طور پر ایسا کچھ کر بھی رہیں ہیں؟

ٹرولنگ کا کلچر

مجھے اندازہ نہیں ۲۰۰۲ سے پہلے اور بعد میں ایسا کیا فرق آیا یا پھر I guess میں پتھر کے نیچے رہا ہوں اس پورے زمانے، جس کی وجہ سے شاید اس چیز میں میں کامیاب نہیں، اور اسکے لیئے میں اللہ کا شکر گزار ہوں کہ یہ پرائی مجھ میں نہیں، انسان غلطی کا پتلہ ہے، اور ٹرولنگ اس وقت کرنی چاہیے جب آپ پرفیکٹ ہو، کیا کوئی انسان یہ claim کر سکتا ہے کہ وہ 100 percent پرفیکٹ ہے؟ اگر ہاں تو وہ ضرور ٹرولنگ کرے۔

Pakistani media could be used easily by so called terrorist groups, for doing their dirty jobs in Pakistan

Two days ago from today, on Thursday when some good for nothing suicide bombers did their job at the holy shrine of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi at Clifton. But more importantly the responsibility of our media personnel to be taken at front, again just to break the news quicker than others, they even plotted hoax and panic and in media terms encashed the situation, with completely compromising the national interest which required complete harmony, but something must be done for these people to let them work in some sorta system, else so much power given to illiterate media of Pakistan means, you're at risk of being a laughing stock (which already we've been) globally.

Can't these media men/women see they're BEING USED by the terrorist organizations in Pakistan (don't wanna start the conversation where they hail from though) are using them just to create panic in and outside Pakistan and sending wrong message to abroad for Pakistan! Instead of sending positive things, our media always sends wrong message abroad.

Why supporting such dirty politicians who support dirty politics and when not in power, they praise the media and in return media thinks its a superman sorta thing here, clearly showing their immaturity. Upgrading camera-work, graphics illustration, networking, DOP etc doesn't mean that they are mature. Don't wanna go too back, just at the eve of Air Blue Crash in Islamabad, I was watching couple of news channels that day as it was raining here in Karachi too so net was also somewhat down, so what I saw the difference in coverage of BBC, CNN compared with Pakistani TV, was completely a upside down thing. Pakistani media reports told that that aeroplane arrived from Turkey to Karachi and than Karachi to Islamabad, but half an hour later when I switched on to CNN, they deny this with reference to Air Space Authority of Turkey that none of that brand of Aeroplane left Istanbul for Karachi. Plus Pakistani media were trying to spice up the things by saying that some people were found wounded and were alive, what's the use of breaking such unconfirmed news?

With such immaturity, don't you think any terrorist organization hail from any country would easily create hype and hoax with the help of our so called brilliant media?

Creating panic in people just for selling news!

How can media still claim, the cyclone would hit the coasts of Karachi?

How can those stupid media personnel can claim that the Cyclone "Phet" or
"Diamond" would "hit the coasts of Sindh", when according to the Pakistan MET Office released images, the cyclone has already changed its way and is on the way to the coasts of Balochistan province. Karachi would be affected only by
the rains but hitting of cyclone, I don't think so when it already has degraded into a category 1 tropical storm, and majority of its (cyclone)
arms have reached out of Pakistan into Indian provinces of Rajasthan and Indian Punjab, and the direction of storm is from South West to North East, on the other hand Karachi is in the South East of Pakistan.

I think they want to tell people that in this condition, the storm will move in a straight line to be "hit" from the cyclone. Are they showing signs of responsibility? How can a storm hit Karachi in this scenario? Although it'll touch Karachi but hitting, I don't think so, so why trying to create so much panic in people, last year a cyclone had crossed Karachi but nothing like the panic media created this time wasn't there.

Just think, what credibility of our media is now after producing such hoax? Are they educating the common or playing with them?

Was that much hype really necessary for arrival of Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza in Pakistan? Whenever they started their tour of Pakistan, media instead acting sensibly and educating the mass to how to act in these situations and to let them watch it through media, they created such hype that made people to rush through the airports and to those areas where they were about to roam.

Wasn't that insulting so much of people were eagerly waiting for just to have a glimpse of them but they used another terminal to enter the city and the country! Was that really necessary when it was known that like our Cricket heroes after winning the 2009 T20 cup arrived here in privacy and with so much security without showing their glimpse, so how could they don't have figured that out for Shoaib and his newly wed bride with her family?

The responsibility not only fall on the shoulders of people that they couldn't hide their enthusiasm but it was the responsibility of media (both print and electronic) to educate the people how to act in such circumstances, instead they've been acting like those parents who've spoiled their child by offering and granting him/her whatever he/her wished for, without knowing the importance of it...

Now till the latest reports that Mirza family here in Pakistan have been handled and even because of the media personnel "enthusiasm" Mrs. Mirza fall just at the doors of the 5 star hotel in Lahore today. Is it really necessary to give so much hype to this news unnecessary when such things are hurting the visitor's privacy and even at times they have complained for it, still our media personnel are not behaving with consciousness.

Just look at the broader picture, just for the sake of knowing the thoughts of Sania Mirza, on how she's feeling coming to Pakistan, start sabotaging the remaining of Pakistan's impression, hospitality and friendly nature people by showing such IDIOTIC display of manners that whenever Sania Mirza's family would return to India, and when other Indians would ask about their tour to Pakistan, they'll definitely say that we feel more safe here (in India) atleast the people here (in India) showed some civilization.

Sorry to say but the blame all goes to our stupid media, which again I should mention that act like those parents who fulfill all wishes of their child before even he got to know its importance. Just tell me what is the purpose of showing such enthusiasm that I personally felt when Sania and Shoaib arrived in Karachi, I saw on TV students came to airport at the school, college and university timings, office going boys at the office timings, was that really necessary to bunk your education and earning source just for the sake "glimpse" of Sania and Shoaib? How was it beneficial by any means?

In short our media should respect one's privacy and follow the international charters for such exclusive contents and should not act like jobless people who interfere in other's matters- so our media (print and electronic both) needs to mature themselves and to mature their audience.
